AMATEUR
The Borinsura teams are a great way to increase your personal level of dancing!
Auditions are being held for Amateur and Pro level.
In Amateur, Amneris will work alongside you to implement fundamentals from Afro and Son into your dance and teach you the tricks of her body movement so that you look even more confident on the dance floor.
PRO TEAM
In Pro, expectations are higher, you have to have a better understanding of Salsa on 2, Mambo and take on the responsibility to practice outside of the usual weekly rehearsals. Amneris also provides the opportunity to travel and perform with her at many of the dance congresses in the U.S!

Ladies Amateur & Pro Team
Tuesday, April 16th, 7:30 - 9:00 PM EST
In Person Audition
Location: Ripley Grier Studios, 520 8th Ave, 16th Floor
Cost: $10
How do Auditions Work?
For In-Person:
- During the audition, you will be shown a short choreography that you will need to learn to the best of your ability. Amneris will then be able to see where you are in your dance level but also if you are really interested in the training and have the ability to commit to the rehearsal requirements.
- Auditions are open for dancers who are least advanced beginners in salsa dancing.
- Pro Auditions require dancers with high level knowledge of salsa dancing and body movement.
When do the teams rehearse?
Amateur Team Training and Rehearsals occur every Tuesday, Starting April 23 from 7:30pm – 9:30pm
Pro Team regularly rehearses Tuesday, 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM starting April 23.

FAQS
$100/ Month – For either Amateur or Pro members
Rehearsals for Amateur usually take place at: Pearl Studios 500 8TH AVE.
Please note that sometimes we may have to rehearse at Ripley Grier Studios 520 W 8TH AVE but will be noted in advance.
Rehearsals for Pro usually take place at: Empire Dance Studio, 224 w 35th street 15th Floor
In- person:
Team Performance is highly encouraged when being a part of the team, but you must be very comfortable with the choreography shown to you. Performing at all events is not expected but you should be available for at least one of the planned performances. Once the team starts, further discussions on performance dates will be shared.
Pro Team Meets on Tuesdays from 5:00 PM -6:30PM
Amateur Team Meetings on Tuesdays from 7:30PM -9:00PM
Online Streaming is on Tuesdsays during the Amateur Team: 7:30PM – 9:00PM
$100/ Month – For In-person and Online team members
Online Teams rehearse on Tuesdays from 7:30PM – 9:00PM EST starting, September 19th.
Online Teams: If you can’t attend the live stream of the rehearsals, the video will be recorded for you to watch at a better time based on your location time.
Please note that it is your responsibility to watch the videos and learn the choreography as well as to reach out to Amneris when you have questions so that you can stay on top of the choreography.

As long as you are an active/ registered Borinsura member, you can let Amneris know when you are in NYC to check for performance dates. PLUS, if there are multiple team members in your city/country that want to get together and perform in your city/country, this can happen too!*
*Please note that active Borinsura Members can perform together/ solo in a country abroad from the U.S.
